Polymaster - Communicating complex messages
CLIENT
Polymaster is one of Australia’s leading poly tank manufacturers and a truly remarkable regional business. What's especially impressive about Polymaster is that they don’t just produce classic rainwater and water storage tanks. They are also market leaders in more complex areas, such as dangerous goods, chemical storage, dosing, and management. Often, they invent and innovate custom solutions to meet their clients' needs. From agriculture to mining, and water treatment to waste management, Polymaster has it covered.
The Problem
The marketing team at Polymaster faced a common challenge. Despite having outstanding products and services, they struggled to distill their value proposition and deliver it effectively to diverse target audiences. Like many marketing teams, they were overwhelmed by the vast amount of information passed to them daily by other departments, making it easy to get bogged down in details.
The Solution
Fortunately for Polymaster, communicating complex messages is our specialty. We began by using one of our favorite marketing message tools: The Storyline Blueprint. This tool helps align marketing teams and directors on what their video needs to convey, who it needs to reach, and the desired outcomes.
The first step in our Storyline Blueprint process is to gather all relevant internal stakeholders for a half-day workshop. During this session, we review the company’s goals, strengths, clients, and key messages to determine the focus of their highest-value first video. This workshop ensures that all key stakeholders feel involved in the process and share a unified vision for the video project.
After the workshop, we collate all the ideas and information to produce a blueprint for the video. This document provides the marketing team with a clear plan to review and approve before moving into production.
The resulting video was met with applause and encouragement from the board and early viewers. It will be utilized in direct sales techniques and targeted marketing campaigns.
Additionally, we were able to create a separate video explaining their Engineered Solutions Department using the same content shot for The Polymaster Difference.
